In June 2019 Porsche announced that it was recalling 100,000 vehicles for rollaway risk. The vehicles recalled are 2003-2010 Porsche Cayenne and 2010-2016 Porsche Panamera. If you own one of these vehicles, you will receive notification.

It appears that the problem is due to the gear selector cable bushing. The bushing might come loose, and allow transmission to be in different gear than the lever’s location – this means that you may put the car in “Park”, leave the vehicle, and the vehicle will not be in “Park”. This can result in a rollaway problem.

If you receive the recall notice, you could call the dealer – or you can contact German Auto Sport – we will be happy to take your vehicle to the dealer to get it repaired. You will be able to drop off the vehicle at our shop, and pick it up at our shop after it’s been repaired. We do not charge for this service, and the dealer will make the repairs free of charge as well.
